Life Planning

Mondays usually bring up thoughts of ‘what now?’ and ‘what’s next?’. A fresh start to the week makes me want to start planning ahead. Being in last three months of the year also lets me know next year is right around the corner. I’ve been spending a considerable amount of time recently doing what I call “life planning.” Planning helps me feel prepared and in control, and hey…I like being in control (there I said it!) “I can control my destiny, but not my fate.” -Paulo Coelho The three biggest items I want to plan for are: Which races I want to compete in 2015 Planning time off work around races and vacations in 2015 Financially preparing for upcoming expenses including races I have an idea of a distance for my goal race in 2015, but I can’t seem to find the right combination of time of year and location. Choosing this goal race will help me back into my training plan. Until I have that goal race identified, I’m withholding the desired distance. I know as soon as I write and say it, I will be fully committed. But until then, it’s going to continue to float around in my head...
